Accuracy disappointment

Very disappointing as far as accuracy goes. A basic Fluke 115 meter has a +/-0.5%+2 accuracy (dc voltage). Redfish's iDVM advertises a +/-2%+2. This is horrible for a $240.00 meter! You can purchase the Fluke 115 all day long for around $150 or less on eBay. I understand that Redfish introduced an wireless meter for your smartphone, but competing, stand alone meters on the market don't add that much space to your tool bag and they give you much higher accuracy for a lot less. (And when your "meter" rings, you don't have to interrupt your measurement)

expensive lab grade instrument

I am a sucker for all things iOS. This meter works flawlessly with my iPhone and iPad. It's accuracy is greater than anything I truly need, but useful nonetheless.

stupid expensive in UK

As an auto tech I (was) interested in this product to allow underbonnet sensor readings to be taken whilst test driving the vehicle. Redfish / Amazon make this unavailable to UK buyers and redirect Brits to their European distributor . Guess what .... $476 plus shipping !!! ....... It's the same story for any US product here in UK .... you wouldn't believe how much we pay over here for iMacs , iphones , macbooks, Flukes ,Snap-On . Oh yeah and don't blame the VAT taxes , that's only 20% ........ It's just good old profiteering . Redfish will never sell any here at that price .
