Easy, Simple, you get 3 plugs

This is a simple way to get 3 plugs from a single outlet...
The Good
3 plugs from a single outlet
Looks nice and finished
Extra plug may allow you to eliminate a power strip
But be aware of
Don't forget to buy the special non standard (not decora) wall plate!
A power block will almost always block 2 of the plugs, if you are trying to eliminate having a power strip and you need to plug in a power block, this will probably not solve your problem.
This outlet doesn't magically give you more power, be careful not to overload your circuit.

solution for tight fit

I designed a family room bar for two wine coolers, a toaster oven and microrange thus needing two duplex outlets. After all electrical was installed, I found that the clearance around the wine coolers dictated needing three wine coolers and I was now short of outlets and had no space left to increase the width of the duplex box. I could have installed a second box but this would have looked tacky and the AC315 was a simple answer. Unfortunately, Leviton has discontinued and it appears Amazon is the only source.

Not much to say except that I really like this product. The design is kind of futuristic and very cool looking. It gives me that little bit X-tra, that one additional outlet saves the day and help prevent the use of unattractive or unsightly power strips, extension cords or other odd, socket, multiplying fixtures. It's a bit pricey but it is not a gimmick. It's solid and well made and nothing beats the coolness! I installed these myself (I bought several in different colors for different locations) but I would NOT recommend attempting to unless you really know your stuff. I do!
